About Weaverville Dance Academy

Under the direction of Sarah Woerner, Dimensions Studio has been offering quality classes with a range of styles for the past two years. Sarah Woerner, current Director, grew up dancing at Dimensions Studio and is thrilled to be able to give back to the community all that she received through dancing. The classes range from recreation to active lifestyles, as well as, programs for the more serious student. The classes offered include ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, tots, clogging, acrobatics, weights/toning classes, interval fitness classes, taekwondo, tai chi, and yoga. Ages for classes range from 2 to adult. The annual end of the year production for dance classes is the highlight of the season. Always occurring near the end of May, the show is a wonderful way to celebrate the hard work of our students and instructors.

Tot Class
Tot Class- Fly like a bird! Swim like a fish! Discover fun exercises to engage small bodies & big imaginations! For girls & boys ages 2-3, this energy filled introduction to dance, rhythm, & teamwork grows confidence. At least one adult must be present in the room with the child. Ballet shoes are preferred.

KinderDance Tap & Ballet
This class is for 4 & 5 yr olds. It is a 45 min class once a week, held Aug/Sept – May. Tap and ballet is done every class. Skills that enhance rhythm, timing, coordination, strengthening, stretching, listening, dance room etiquette, and creativity are all a part of this class.

Beg/Int Ballet & Jazz Classes
This class is a combination of ballet & jazz. At this level, longer attention spans are needed and nurtured. Steps and progressions become more in depth, as well as, the strength and abilities of the students. All dance is a wonderful form of exercise stimulating mind and body alike. Combo classes begin at age 7 and may go until age 12.
