Expressions in Rhythm Studio

Our Pre-School Program follows an introductory dance curriculum open to ages 2-4. Creative Movement at Expressions in Rhythm Studio teaches the basic elements of Jazz, Ballet and Hip Hop. This class develops rhythm, creative ability, motor skills and coordination as well as an introduction to basic dance technique. Expressions in Rhythm Studio follows a curriculum with a focus on social-emotional learning, which creates friendship and creativity for our youngest Expressers, as they participate in class on their own for the first time! Our Mini Program follows a basic skills dance and music curriculum open to ages 5-7 Our 2-for-1 dance classes in our Mini Program focus on learning basic technique in our fun & friendly environment for 5–7-year old's. In Jazz/Hip Hop Combination, Expressers will learn across the floor combinations and short combinations, as well as the ability to freestyle and express their creativity in this high energy class. In Tap/Ballet Combination class, Expressers will learn basic Tap technique through music theory and creating rhythms with their feet, as well as basic classical Ballet technique while using their grace and precision.

Our Junior Program follows a core dance and music curriculum open to ages 8-12 Classes in our Junior Program help beginner and experienced tweens develop their skills and creatively express themselves. Expressions in Rhythm Studio follows a curriculum with a focus on social-emotional learning, to help Expressers work together to create a positive learning environment for all! Prior dance or music experience is not required. Levels are sets of skills, abilities and concepts in each genre that increase in complexity as an Expresser progresses. Parents/Guardians may ask the instructor to evaluate their Expresser on the first day of class if there are questions about ability or readiness. Have a more advanced dancer? Due to the popularity and talent levels of the program, all Expressers wishing to advance their placement in the upper levels must submit an audition for each class that they are looking to place in. Expressers are expected to spend at least one performance season, and often two or more performance seasons, at a particular level before moving on to the next level.
