Smith and Assistant Kru Matt Riter have created an atmosphere that is welcoming and encourages growth. The instructors and senior members offer a wealth of instruction and information. In addition, special instructors from in and around the Carolinas are rotated in to demonstrate new techniques and teaching styles. Lake Norman Muay Thai is the perfect place for children to learn the art of Muay Thai. With a mission to educate and instill a passion for the martial art, parents can feel confident their children are in experienced and knowledgeable hands. Kru J.T. Smith and Assistant Kru Matt Riter have cultivated an atmosphere that is welcoming and supportive, with a wealth of instruction and information available from both the instructors and senior members. To ensure a well-rounded experience, special instructors are rotated in from in and around the Carolinas to demonstrate variations of technique training and execution.

Kids Muay Thai
Lake Norman Muay Thai offers classes that are designed for kids from 6 – 12 years old. Children will be taken through Muay Thai basics learning fundamentals and proper techniques. Kids will hit heavy bags and mitts, learn combinations and participate in full-contact partner drills and controlled sparring.

Youth Muay Thai
Youth classes at Lake Norman Muay Thai focus on the same fundamentals as adult classes but are designed for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 15. Our youth classes focus on teaching our kids the fundamentals of the art in a safe and supervised environment that gets our kids moving while promoting a sense of confidence and self-control.
