About The Dance Spot

Dancing is an incredibly beneficial activity for children. It increases physical strength and agility, while encouraging creativity and self-expression. Dance classes also provide an opportunity to learn the value of self-discipline and perseverance, which can help kids achieve success in their other pursuits. At our dance studio, we recognize the importance of creating a supportive and fun atmosphere for children to explore their creativity. We value the relationships we form with our students and also believe that dance can foster a strong sense of community and friendship. We strive to give children the tools to grow and thrive, both in and out of the studio.

Programs

The classes, camps and experiences this business offers.

Ages 2 to 4

For ages 2-4 we offer Creative Movement classes and ballet/tap combination classes. Our creative movement classes are for our youngest dancers and utilize song & dance along with basic movement exercises to teach students how to use their body, follow directions, and interact with other children. Our ballet/tap combination classes teach the very beginning fundamentals of both styles while incorporating fun games and activities.

Ages 5 to 6

For ages 5-6 we offer ballet/tap/jazz combination classes that expand the dance vocabulary learned in our preschool classes, while at the same time welcoming new dancers to the program. Classes move a little faster and the knowledge gained by the end of the year is more

Ages 7 to 11

For ages 7-11 we offer a wider range of classes for both the beginner and the more experienced dancers. Styles available are ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop that can be taken in combination classes or as individual styles. More emphasis is placed on technique and proper training while still showing joy in the movement styles.
