In the mystical lands of North Carolina, where the Atlantic Ocean kisses the eastern shores and the Appalachian Mountaintop touches the heavens, an army of pint-sized adventurers embark on thrilling treks. These aren't just ordinary kids, they're the Prancing Pumas of Piedmont, the High-Fiving Hawks of High Point, and the Chuckling Chipmunks of Charlotte, all united by their undying love for hiking.

The Prancing Pumas are notorious for their nimble navigation across the rocky trails of Piedmont, while the High-Fiving Hawks soar through the dense woods of High Point, high-fiving each other whenever they conquer a challenging trail. And let’s not forget our Chuckling Chipmunks, these cheeky fellows from Charlotte giggle at every chance they get, their laughter echoing through the misty mountains.

These energetic explorers are led by none other than Sir Huckleberry Hiker, a rambunctious raccoon with a twinkle in his eyes and a backpack full of maps and munchies. With his raccoon cap and his trusty walking stick, Sir Huckleberry is always ready to lead his troop into the wild!

Each day, Sir Huckleberry and the kids explore the breathtaking landscapes of North Carolina, from the lofty peaks of the Smoky Mountains to the enchanting waterfalls in the Pisgah National Forest. Their hiking escapades are filled with laughter, cheers, and the occasional snoring of Bigfoot, who they swear they've spotted more than once! In the enchanting state of North Carolina, every trail is a new tale waiting to be discovered by these pint-sized adventurers.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. 

 I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones
One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people.

Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment.

At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special.

At Ridgecrest Summer Camps, we strive to create an atmosphere of adventure and spiritual growth. We believe that boys and girls of all ages are looking to embark on a journey that can take them outside of what they know and open their eyes to the world. Our experienced staff are here to provide guidance and support to our campers as they explore all that life has to offer. We provide an environment that is both safe and fun, while also pushing our campers to grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus. Ridgecrest Summer Camps

For over 8 decades, Johns River Valley Camp and Retreat Center has been providing outdoor ministry experience to children, youth, adults, families, groups, and church communities. Nestled in the foothills of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains, JRVC is situated beside a picturesque mountain stream with plenty of outdoor activities to offer. From waterfalls and hiking trails to an archery course, river activities, group interactive courses, and even a basketball court, the possibilities for outdoor fun and adventure are endless.

Southern Conference United Church of Christ’s outdoor ministry site, JRVC, has been providing a safe and exciting retreat experience since 1936. With its convenient access to the Blue Ridge Mountains and its scenic river, families and groups can enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities and adventures. Whether it’s playing a game of basketball or exploring the hiking trails, JRVC has something for everyone.

Johns River Valley Camp

Our expansive 350-acre property in Randolph County, just south of Greensboro, is home to an Olympic-sized swimming pool and diving well, an outdoor adventure park, archery range, sports court and lake. Plus, the Circle C Equestrian Center is also part of the property, so girls can work on their horseback riding skills. 

Our team at Keyauwee is dedicated to providing an active and fun-filled experience for all the girls who visit us. Our well-rounded activities help build confidence and knowledge, plus encourage a positive outlook on life. With a state-of-the-art facility, the possibilities are endless! Girls can take a dive in the Olympic-sized pool, explore the outdoor adventure park, practice their aim on the archery range, play sports on the court, or head to the lake and Circle C Equestrian Center to work on their horseback riding skills. 

At Keyauwee, we strive to make every girl feel special. Our belief in providing an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere helps girls of all backgrounds and abilities make new friends and enjoy their time at our center. At Camp High Rocks, we understand the importance of providing boys with a safe and supportive environment to grow and learn. Our experienced staff help to foster growth, independence and resilience in our campers through our traditional, family-owned summer camp.

Since 1958, we have been helping parents develop long-term relationships with their children by providing them with the chance to take part in activities of their own choice, and by setting and achieving personal goals. We recognize the sense of accomplishment that comes with mastering a new skill or spending time away from home, which is why we strive to give our campers the opportunity to embark on a life-changing journey.

Located in the Sandhills Game Lands in the southeastern United States, Millstone 4-H Camp is a 320-acre natural treasure. It features some of the most beautiful and restored longleaf pine stands in the area. Millstone is a camp based on long-standing 4-H history and traditions, and it offers a variety of camp activities that are both traditional and modern. From swimming, canoeing, and horseback riding, to target sports, arts and crafts, and campfires, Millstone has something for everyone. 

Millstone offers 4-H campers the opportunity to explore and discover the outdoors in a safe and enjoyable environment. Specialty camps, as well as rental options, are available for special events. All activities are designed to be age-appropriate and small-group experiences, and ACA accreditation guarantees that they meet the highest safety standards. Situated on 400 acres in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Brevard, NC, Gwynn Valley offers a farm, wilderness, and traditional program designed to foster community building, lifelong friendships, and a connection with the land. Our founder, Mary Gwynn, created a camp based on the values of simplicity, acceptance, a non-competitive program, and an appreciation of the natural world. These core values continue to be embraced today.

At Gwynn Valley, we strive to help our campers develop resilience, responsibility, cooperative skills, confidence, and personal independence. At Camp Lakey Gap, we provide a week-long residential camp for people with autism. Our experienced staff is trained to incorporate evidence-based strategies for supporting people with autism into all elements of our program. We understand that everyone has unique patterns of strengths and needs, and our goal is to help campers and staff to learn to understand each other and themselves. We are proud to be a part of our campers' and staffs' journeys and to have had a positive impact on their lives.

Hello, craft aficionados, and welcome to Crafts Zone! This is your portal into a realm where imagination and education intertwine. Our bespoke crafting workshops are designed to engage both your creative flair and your thirst for knowledge. To keep you abreast with the latest trends and techniques in crafting, we've devoted a fifth of our sessions entirely to learning.

Prepare yourself for an exciting journey of creating and connecting as these constitute the major portion of our workshops, a staggering 70% to be precise! You'll be offered ample opportunities to convert your innovative concepts into tangible creations and also get to know other art enthusiasts. Embrace the joy of crafting something magnificent along with forging friendships with like-minded individuals. 

And we certainly can't overlook the aspect of relaxation! Here at Crafts Zone, we set aside 10% of our time to simply unwind and recharge. We fully endorse the therapeutic effects of crafting and are firm believers in the stress-relieving properties of creative expression. So, come and soak in the serene, artistic ambiance. For over 45 years, the Salvation Army has been providing Camp Walter Johnson as an opportunity for children to go to a summer camp and explore their sense of adventure. Located on High Rock Lake in Denton, NC, campers can participate in a variety of activities, both on the waterfront and on land. From the ball field and the high ropes course to the lake, children can safely face their fears and improve their skills in a safe and fun environment.

At Camp Walter Johnson, the dedicated staff are passionate about helping children learn valuable lessons about themselves and their future. The camp’s goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where children can grow and learn, and the staff work hard to ensure that each camper has a positive and memorable experience.
