About Cabarrus Dance Academy

At Cabarrus Dance Academy, we are committed to helping our students reach their fullest potential. Our experienced, qualified teachers are dedicated to creating a positive and safe environment that encourages children to explore movement and self-expression through dance. We equip our young dancers with the skills to develop coordination, physical awareness, and a positive self-image. We strive to serve not only our students, but also the community. Our goal is to provide high-quality dance classes and a child-centered environment that will enhance the overall development of our pupils. We believe that dance is a great way for children to learn how to express themselves through movement in a safe and nurturing environment.

Wiggle + Whirl
a playful creative movement class for children ages 2.5-3. This class will stress the important skills of learning to move to different tempos, sequencing, and gaining confidence in one's own imagination through dance, music and tumbling.

Pre-Dance
Pre-Dance is specifically designed for students ages 3-4 with no/little prior experience. The Pre-Dance class meets once a week for 45 minutes. Students will learn the basic elements of movement and dance, musical rhythm, time, beat, basic ballet barre terminology, opposites and directions, elementary tumbling skills, and seasonal songs and dance games.

Combo Classes
These classes are suited for young students in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. They are one hour classes that introduce students to two types of dance disciplines, Ballet & Tap. Kindergarten Combo is for those dancers enrolled in Kindergarten (not Pre-K). First Grade Combo is a Ballet & Tap combination for the dancer entering 1st Grade.

Hippity Hop
Based on our regular hip hop classes, Hippity Hop is geared towards the energetic Kindergarten and First Grade student. These students will learn the basic hip hop and pop moves to age appropriate music. This class is great for boys and girls! (45 minutes)
