We offer educational and recreational experiences that engage, challenge and reward participants of all ages and abilities. Our goal is to provide quality outdoor experiences that create a lifelong appreciation of our natural environment. We believe that outdoor activities can have a positive impact on the mental and physical well-being of our participants.
Nature and outstanding outdoor programs combine to form an ideal learning enviornment at the Eastenr 4-H Center.
Pocosin forests, broad bays, estuaries, wetlands, and sandy shores make it convenient to observe nature. There's so
much nature to take in at our facility that groups often plan return trips to experience it all. Between the abundant natural
areas and the wildlife that calls it home, you are sure to find the Eastern 4-H Center a unique fit for your group's educational needs.
Within a short drive, educational groups can experience nearly 500 years of history! From the first English settlement on Roanoke Island to the colonial and African-American history at Somerset Place, your group walk through these sites that bring history to life for any age group.
It's hard to tell where education ends and fun begins at the Eastern 4-H Center! There's so much to do and such a wonderful place to do it all - from day trips to multi-day experiences!
Bike or walk the trails throughout 250+ acre facility. Get out on the water in our canoes or kayaks. Enjoy our playfields for a variety of sports and game activities. But that's just the beginning of what you can do at the Eastern 4-H Center.
