Programs at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro, NC

BeAKid
AfterSchool at the ArtsCenter for Spring 2023

This program provides afterschool care for students in grades K-5, while also providing quality art instruction by local teaching artists. Students will participate in two art classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, in which they will explore in-depth techniques in a variety of mediums.  Some examples include Creative Drama, African Drumming, Printmaking, and Ceramics. These classes rotate every month. Transportation is provided by Chapel Hill/Carrboro public elementary schools or parents may drop their children off at the check-in desk. Pick-up is between 5:30 and 6:00 pm. There are 3-day and 5-day options available.

ArtsCamp

The ArtsCenter’s ArtsCamp & Summer Youth Workshop program offers full and half-day programs for artists entering grades K 12 in a wide variety of disciplines. Small classes, taught by professional artists with a focus on skill building and creative expression, are the hallmarks of our camps. We offer both visual and performing art camps every week of CHCCS summer vacation.
