About URJ 6 Points Sports Academy

At 6 Points Sports Academy, young Jewish athletes from across the United States and seven countries come together for an unparalleled camp experience. Combining professional sports training with the treasured traditions of Reform Jewish camping, our programs are open to athletes entering grades four to twelve. Our campers have the opportunity to nurture their love of sports and further develop their Jewish identity. Our unique approach to Jewish education, which is interwoven into the course of each day, helps campers build self-confidence and strong connections with their peers. By the end of their stay, campers have become proud Jewish athletes!

SPORT MAJORS

Upon registration, campers select one sport major to focus on for the full session, spending 4-4.5 hours each day with our professional coaches. Our head coaches bring years of experience coaching at the elite club, high school Varsity, or collegiate level. They have a deep understanding of youth sports, motivation, and whole-athlete development. In addition, our counselors are hired in a dual role as assistant coaches, bringing with them experience playing at a high level in club, high school or on their college teams. Whether you are a beginner athlete or advanced player training at an elite level, our coaches will help you take your game to the next level and achieve your goals. During sport major training, athletes develop mentally, physically, and technically through drills, friendly competition, and game-like situations. All majors are divided based on age and ability, enabling our coaches to provide differentiated instruction on individual, small group and full-team levels.

ELECTIVES

Electives are so much fun at camp. Campers select two electives daily, allowing them to pursue interests in other sports, cross-train, try something new, or simply spend time with friends! While sport major sessions provide intense training and individual skill-development, electives are recreational. Camp provides all necessary equipment, though you are welcome to bring your own racket, for example, if you prefer. Elective options each day include: 9-Square-in-the-Air, Alpine Tower, Basketball, Better Bounce, Bouldering Wall, Chill Zone, Fitness, Flag Football, Floor Hockey, Gaga, Kickball, Lacrosse, Mini Soccer, Music, Pickleball, Spikeball, Swimming, Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Whiffle Ball, Weight Room, Zumba…and more!
