About Asheville Academy of Taekwondo in Asheville, NC

Welcome to the Asheville Academy Of Taekwondo! Established in 1991 by Master Richard Tener, this school is now owned and managed by Mr. Paul Toney - and is part of the respected American Taekwondo Foundation (ATF) and World Taekwondo Federation. Grandmaster Yun Sung Chung is the proud president of the ATF, with the National Headquarters based in Montgomery, Alabama. The Asheville Academy is also the Regional Headquarters of the ATF, with the Regional Director part of this great organization. In addition to their well-respected Taekwondo training, the Asheville Academy also provides instructor training - with many of their students going on to open their own successful schools and clubs. Why not come and see what all the fuss is about with a free first class? It's the perfect way to get in shape, while learning self-defense, developing self-discipline and building confidence. KIDS MARTIAL ARTS AGES 5-12

Our children’s program focuses on building a foundation of skills that your children can take with them throughout their life. They will learn the basics of traditional taekwondo skills and building good physical fitness habits. In addition your child will develop mentally and emotionally through their martial arts training.

TEEN MARTIAL ARTS AGES 13 AND UP

The teen years are a time of great change for your child. Our classes are built to give your child a safe and social environment to help them become the best version of themselves. Martial arts can help your teen focus and be more productive. It gives them a place to grow skills such as leadership, commitment, and self discipline. In our teen program we focus on building martial arts skills while challenging your child make a commitment to the tenets of taekwondo and help them become respectful and confident and able to excel in anything they put their minds to.
