Located on the north shore of the Neuse River near Oriental, North Carolina, Don Lee Camp & Retreat Center offers a unique Christian camping experience. With more than 70 years of service, Don Lee is the perfect spot to explore God’s creation, learn sailing, and grow in faith. Summer Camp Program

Small group camping is the unique trademark of the Don Lee experience. Within this model, the group grows in trust and faith as they work together, play together, and worship together. Year after year campers and alumni tell us that "the group" was so essential to the joy and excitement of their camp experience. Don Lee focuses on building the community of the group. Activities are fun and exciting but "the group" is where the real experience is built. Groups do not always start out in perfect relationships, but with willingness and sharing, growth in trust and trustworthiness can lift the experience to a real high moment in a camper's life.

Retreat Programs

We provide sailing, Swimming, Canoeing/Kayaking such as fishing and crabbing, and can also arrange for group sing-a-longs, campfires with s’mores, hayrides and ice cream sundae parties. Two lighted basketball courts, sand volleyball court, horseshoes and a field provide plenty of space for games. Let us know what we can do to make your retreat special!

School Program

The Don Lee Center Coastal Communities Environmental Education Program introduces students to the wonders of nature and outdoor discovery through unique learning opportunities. Located along the banks of the Neuse River Estuary, Don Lee offers a variety of hands-on, interactive educational programs and team-building experiences for students of all ages during the school year. Removed from the distractions of everyday life, groups of 15 to 200 students are welcome to spend up to a week exploring the natural world in this ideal coastal setting.
