At The Dance Academy, we provide families with the highest quality instruction in dance. Our classes range from beginner to advanced, and cover a wide variety of genres. We offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, strength & conditioning, leaps & turns, lyrical/contemporary, and more. We strive to ensure that our environment is family-friendly and comfortable for all. We understand that every student learns at their own pace and we strive to provide an environment that is both fun and educational. Our classes range from beginner to competition and are suitable for all ages. No matter the skill level, we guarantee that your student will receive the highest quality instruction and a positive learning experience. The Dance Academy offers something for everyone. Modern & Contemporary
Modern dance focuses on the expression of inner feelings. The genre was created as a rebellion against classical ballet, emphasizing creativity in choreography and performance. There are numerous different techniques within the genre, such as Horton, Limon, Graham and Dunham to name a few.

Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance. Lyrical is generally smoother and a bit faster than ballet, but not quite as fast as jazz. A lyrical dancer uses movement to express strong emotions such as love, joy, and anger. Movements in lyrical dance are characterized by fluidity and grace, with the dancer flowing seamlessly from one move to another.

Jazz
Jazz class focuses on learning proper jazz technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality, and developing complex rhythms and patterns.
