True Friends is a nonprofit organization striving to make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. Our programs offer life-changing experiences that help to increase independence and self-esteem. With locations throughout Minnesota and the United States, we serve over 25,000 individuals every year. Our programs include camp, respite, retreats, team building, therapy, adaptive riding, and travel.

This camp experience is perfect for individuals who enjoy
rekindling old friendships and creating new ones. Developed for
campers with physical disabilities, this program provides many
accessible activities including miles of trails to explore, a state
of the art wheelchair accessible challenge ropes course and
zip-line, swimming pool, kayaking, tubing, fishing, archery,
and so much more!

BeAKid
Horse Program
During the camp season, we provide individuals the opportunity
to engage with a horse through horsemanship experiences.
Depending on the camper, the horsemanship experience may
include riding a horse with staff assistance, or it may mean
interacting with a horse in other ways including grooming,
feeding, or petting

Classic Camp
Enjoy outdoor and lakefront activities, hikes,
campfires, and cabin living. Meet new people
and make friends with other participants
and counselors while experiencing the best
nature has to offer. Trained staff members
provide personal cares and assistance as
needed.
