BeAKid
Young Engineers (Ages 4-5)
Our Young Engineers program is designed to create an “aha” moment for every preschooler with every project. We use LEGO® Technic, gears, motors, and battery packs in age-appropriate projects and lead young learners, step-by-step, through 3 new mechanical builds each month. We focus on fun and confidence-building while developing fine motor skills, an engineering vocabulary, and a hands-on knowledge of how things work.

Robot Academy, Jr. (Grades 1-3)
Robot Academy, Jr. taps into a child’s love of LEGO by adding the LEGO WeDO robotics system to build and code 3 new robots each month. Our curriculum is designed in-house and has been tested on 10,000+ students and counting. Our programs lead young learners, step-by-step, through projects with an “aha” moment at the end of each one. We focus on fun and confidence-building while also developing fine motor skills, engineering skills, and hands-on knowledge of how things like windshield wipers, carousels, and other mechanical items in our world operate.

Advanced Robotics (Grades 4-8)
Our advanced robotics program is designed in-house and recognizes that students in grades 4-8 are ready to problem solve and think creatively but need a strong robotics foundation to do so successfully. Our LEGO Mindstorms Robotics program starts with a 6-week Fundamentals class where students are introduced to the basics (coding, gear ratios, mechanical building, engineering vocabulary). Once they complete Fundamentals, they are ready to advance to the Challenge class. The challenge class is in a studio setting, where experienced teachers help students to realize their ideas through trial and error. The majority of Challenge students continue to work through the different levels for 1 to 2 years, in what quickly becomes a home away from home for them.
