At the Anton Art Center, we are committed to building an open community around creative expression. We offer a wide array of programming to appeal to diverse audiences, provide support for the arts, and become a focal point for arts programming. Our mission is to enrich and inspire people of all ages through the arts, and to do this we strive for inclusion, diversity, equity, and access in all that we do. 

Our center has been a cornerstone of the Macomb County community for over fifty years. The historic Carnegie Library building in Downtown Mount Clemens, Michigan serves as the home of the Anton Art Center. Students will work with ceramics and get ready to explore
their own personal creativity with pinch pots, coil, slab, sculpture, wheel throwing and
glazing, This class is designed for all levels, and supplies are included.

Kids Ceramics (Ages: 6-12)

Let your imagination guide you as you create art pieces
with clay. Students of all levels will learn slab building, coiling, sculpting, wheel throwing
(optional), and glazing through instruction and hands-on practice. Supplies included.

Teen Ceramics - (Ages 12 - 17)

Students will work on basic art techniques, explore and
experiment with paint as well as learn about working with other medium like chalk,
watercolor and tempera. Students will learn various techniques and styles like collage and
mixed media, Students will both explore on their own, as well as be led in follow the leader
style projects in order to leave with a fuller understanding of art techniques and mediums.

The gift shop is one-of-a-kind, with items made locally, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The Center provides a variety of instructional classes and events for people of all ages. The art display consists of various media created by very talented artists and craftspeople.
