Art Studio

REACH Studio Art Center is a vibrant non-profit community art center that provides a creative outlet for people of all ages and abilities. At their seven studios located in the REO Town district of Lansing, Michigan, they offer a variety of classes and workshops taught by local teaching artists. These classes and workshops are available at free and sliding-scale fees. 

The REACH Art Truck program brings the creative outlet to people around town. Through this program, they are able to bring the same classes and workshops that are available at the studios to people who may not be able to physically get to the studios. 

REACH Studio Art Center provides a safe and welcoming environment for people to explore the arts. Their mission is to provide a creative outlet to people of all ages and abilities. With the help of the local teaching artists, they are able to bring the creative outlet to those around town.

REACH Summer Art Day Camps give youth a week of creative visual art and multi-art learning along with the fun that promotes friend-making and teamwork during June, July, and August. Camps are taught by professional teaching artists based around a special theme or arts discipline. 

Summer Camp

Arts Incubator gives folks, ages 14-19, the opportunity to learn new art-making techniques and develop core skills while hanging out with other young folks! During this weekly program, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in open sketchbook time, and art games, and have a snack with their peers.

Arts Incubator

Programs that encourage exploration and learning in all kinds of art and are not limited to just paint, ceramics, drawing, etc. Programs in this category may be focused on a particular age group, or intergenerational, and include Walk-in Wednesday, Creative Connections, and Creative Tots.

My son is fortunate enough to be able to attend the monthly homeschool lessons provided by LEARN 517.  Each month, he was introduced to a new topic that broadened his horizons. with very patient instructions.  I highly recommend it!
