Colonel Cornstalk, with his cheeky grin and a shiny acorn helmet, leads the way. "Forward march!" he commands, his tiny voice echoing through the forest. The kids dig holes, carefully place the baby trees in, and then cover their roots with soft earth. There's laughter, chattering, and the occasional squirrel-directed acorn toss.
