These kids, in their woolly scarves (for it can be quite chilly in Michigan!) and with pens or pencils gripped tightly in their hands, are the superheroes of their own stories. They aren’t scared of messing up a blank piece of paper with their wild and crazy ideas. After all, as Inky often says, "A good story is like a Michigan apple pie, it might get a little messy, but it's totally worth it!" These MI Scribble Sprouts can weave tales that make even the toughest Detroit robot weep or cause the sand dunes of Sleeping Bear to shake with laughter. Their words are as powerful as a Michigan winter and as beautiful as a Mackinac Island sunrise. So, if you ever find yourself traipsing through the magical mitten state, and you stumble upon a story so wild it must be true, remember to tip your hat to the MI Scribble Sprouts and their lovable leader, Inky Quillsworth.

Since 1928, Interlochen has been an incredible resource for the arts. Nestled in northwest Michigan, this beautiful campus is surrounded by two pristine lakes and quiet pines, creating a truly special and intangible atmosphere. It is a place where generations of students, from grades 3-12, and adults of all ages, come to experience and develop their creative talents in the various arts disciplines. The Interlochen Center for the Arts is the umbrella organization for the six unique programs, each of which has been designed to foster the appreciation of the arts within the community. These programs include Interlochen Arts Camp, Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen Online, Interlochen Public Radio, Interlochen Presents, and Interlochen College of Creative Arts.
