About Camp Walden in Cheboygan, MI

Welcome to Walden, a summer home on the beautiful shores of Long Lake. Since 1959, campers have been making their way to this special neighborhood, where they can explore the woods and meadows and create a sense of community. At Walden, campers get to know each other in a variety of ways. Whether it’s in sailing class, playing volleyball, or befriending a cabin counselor, campers get to create lasting friendships and feel right at home. Sign up for riding and you’ll become part of a special family-within-a-family at Walden. Karen and her riding staff cater to beginning and intermediate riders, teaching English-saddle riding, leading trail rides and offering an Adopt-a-Horse program, where riders learn to care for a horse. Each session ends with special barn celebrations and a Pasture Party cookout.
