The lakes of Michigan, from Superior to Huron, and rivers like the Grand and the Kalamazoo, are their playgrounds. Whether they're weaving through the weeping willows or whizzing past the waddling ducks, they're always up for a splash-tacular adventure. These kids can be seen battling fierce (well, not so fierce) river currents, or rescuing their sandwiches from cheeky seagulls, all while laughing and learning the art of the paddle. Ann Arbor YMCA Camp Al-Gon-Quian (AGQ) is the perfect place for your child to make memories that last a lifetime. Located on the picturesque Burt Lake, MI, AGQ is home to 1,300 campers each summer. Our mission is to help campers grow in spirit, mind, and body through our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. AGQ offers a traditional overnight camp experience for children ages 8-16. Campers have the opportunity to bunk in semi-rustic cabins, with role model counselors who will help them develop important life skills. During their stay, campers can enjoy a variety of activities that promote social, emotional, and life skills. They can also take part in a typical daily schedule, so they can make the most out of their summer experience.
