From sculptures made of snowflakes on the shores of Lake Michigan to murals that can cover the high walls of Detroit's tallest buildings. They are the Picassos, the Van Goghs, and the Da Vincis of the mitten-shaped state! And the funniest thing about this enchanting group of talent? The more they laugh, the more creative they become! Ann Arbor YMCA Camp Al-Gon-Quian (AGQ) is the perfect place for your child to make memories that last a lifetime. Located on the picturesque Burt Lake, MI, AGQ is home to 1,300 campers each summer. Our mission is to help campers grow in spirit, mind, and body through our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. AGQ offers a traditional overnight camp experience for children ages 8-16. Campers have the opportunity to bunk in semi-rustic cabins, with role model counselors who will help them develop important life skills. During their stay, campers can enjoy a variety of activities that promote social, emotional, and life skills. They can also take part in a typical daily schedule, so they can make the most out of their summer experience. At the end of their stay, we hope campers will leave AGQ with an abundance of memories, newfound confidence, an appreciation for nature, and a summer experience that they will never forget.
