Nichols Day Camp is a program of Blue Hill Society for Aid to Children, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, originally incorporated in 1963.
Our Mission: To instill in our peninsula area youth a lifelong passion for outdoor recreational and educational experiences.
We fulfill our mission by providing area youth opportunities to experience our woods, wind, water and Maine’s natural beauty to gain a variety of life skills which promote confidence and self-esteem.

Our Scamp Program is filled with fun! Each session has approximately 15 children, and structured to help kiddos transition to a classroom environment. We read stories in the field, swim at the waterfront, craft with our peers, and much more!

Adventure Program (Ages 13 and 14)
Adventure sessions this summer include learning about outdoor living, the natural world and Maine’s heritage. Active learning in swimming and boating occur daily depending on weather. Included each session are field trips to natural and historical points of interest.

CIT (Counselor in Training) Program (Age 14 and up)
This program is for boys and girls who are at least 14 years old by June 19, 2023. The CIT Program is four weeks long and will be held twice during the summer. Only the second session is open to 14 year olds. This program is selective and progressive as you spend the summer evolving from a camper toward a terrific Junior Counselor and Counselor in future years.
