About Dance Studio of Maine South

At DSOM South, we are proud to offer Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Modern, Acro, and Musical Theater, and we have recently been voted as the Best Dance Studio in Sanford/Springvale 2022. Our classes are designed to help our students develop their skills while having fun. We believe that dance is a language that brings people together, and our studio is an inclusive space that welcomes everyone. We are proud to be LGBTQ+ affirming and we are passionate about making sure that everyone feels accepted and respected in our classes. Our goal is to share the joy of dance with the Sanford community and to create a fun and supportive atmosphere for our students.

Tiny Tots

Move, play and explore basic movement in our Tiny Tots class. Class helps develop basic motor skills while playing and having fun! Class includes basic Ballet and Jazz! This class is for ages 2-3.

Preschool Party

These classes will introduce ballet, jazz, tap or hip hop basics depending on which combo class you choose. This class inspires young dancers to express themselves through movement. Movement is introduced, and has the students apply imagination, energy and coordination. Focus on form and technique is part of the curriculum along with allowing young children to enjoy dance and self-expression. This class is for ages 3.5-4.

Ballet/Tap Combo

These combo classes introduce dancers to Ballet and Tap basics. Dancers will get to explore and create while learning technique and building confidence.
