ART SHOPS

Tripp Lake has wonderful art classes to inspire the very beginner or the aspiring artist. Campers develop their artistic abilities and learn creative ways to express themselves in TLC’s art program. From learning to make a vase on the pottery wheel, or take, develop and print black and white photos, to designing silver earrings or writing for the TLC Times, each camper will find an art shop she will enjoy. At the end of the summer, the art department hosts an Art Show where the girls’ finest work is on display for the campers and staff to enjoy.

SPORTS

A combination of individual and team sports are a part of each camper’s daily schedule. Team sports build skills in leadership, sportsmanship and cooperation in a group setting. TLC coaches promote competence, confidence and enjoyment when teaching a sport. Our campers develop new skills and learn to do their best, respect their opponents, work together and have fun. As campers get older and develop skills in their favorite sport, they may attend a Mini Sports Camp or participate in an All Star Game. Most campers return to Tripp Lake for several years and they are prepared to enjoy a lifetime of sport. Campers have the opportunity to develop skills to play high school sports if they choose.

THEATRE

Campers love to participate in our Theatre Program in Tripp Lake’s own theatre, “Over the Wall” (OTW). Campers have many opportunities to perform and work in the theatre, onstage and off. Each age group, as well as our staff, puts on a show for the rest of the camp during the summer. There is also a camper talent show and a staff talent show for those who wish to take center stage and perform something special for everyone.
