Every day, these high-spirited, melodious Munchkins, under Benny's watchful eye, fill the air with tunes so sweet that even the toughest Maine lobster would tap its claws to the rhythm. Their songs echo through the tall pine trees, bounce off the majestic mountains and flow along with the waves reaching every nook and cranny of the Pine Tree State. Whether it's little Lucy on the violin, whose strings sing sweeter than a nightingale, or booming Billy on the drums, who can make even the famous Mount Katahdin shake a leg, each of these Munchkins has a special musical magic. They are a symphony of sounds, a concert of creativity, an orchestra of originality! Their laughter rings out like a joyful symphony, their friendship as harmonious as a perfect chorus. For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
Jacqui has been dedicated to the world of music since she graduated from the University of Maine in 2008. With a Bachelors Degree in Music Education, majoring in piano and a vocal track, Jacqui has done a lot in the past 12 years. After graduating, Jacqui accepted the position of Minister of Music at Standish Congregational Church. During this time she taught 50 students in her own piano studio, assisted with organizing conferences, festivals and competitive events for piano students across Maine and started the Southern Maine MTA. Today, Jacqui is Minister of Music at First Parish in Saco, and continues to lead the music program and teach piano lessons. Jacqui is an inspiration to all who follow their passions and shows that with dedication, anything is possible.
