About New Street Glass Studio in Worcester, MA

The Worcester Center for Crafts is an institution of cultural excellence that dates back to 1856. Established as the Worcester Employment Society, the Center provided women with the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to create and sell handmade goods. Fast forward to today, and the Center continues to provide a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for all ages and backgrounds to express themselves through craft. Whether it's taking classes, attending an exhibit, or engaging in events, the Center offers many ways to explore the beauty of crafting. For over 150 years, the Center has been devoted to celebrating the joys of crafting and they hope you will join them in this journey. Teens at the Wheel (14-17 years)

Take a seat at the wheel! Instructor demonstration and hands-on exploration will grow your ceramics techniques while developing your own unique style. A mix of instructor-led and free-choice projects make this class great for 14-17-year-old returning students and students beginning or growing their ceramics art portfolio. Being creative can get messy, so please dress for mess!

Stained Glass Castle Luminary (14-17 years)

Hey teens (14-17 yrs), come to make a stained glass castle candle holder/luminary! Do you love King Richard's Fair and medieval times? Make a castle out of stained glass to hold a candle and create the feeling of living in your very own medieval castle!

Glass Mosaic (10-13 years)

Make a mosaic trivet for mom or dad to use in the kitchen. It's great for setting a hot dish or pot on the counter or dining room table. Kids (10-13 years) will design their trivet by choosing between many different small colored glass tiles and apply them to a wood base.
