About Julie's Studio of Dance

At Julie’s Studio of Dance, every member of the family is encouraged to have a positive experience. The studio strives to make dance fun and rewarding, without any of the hassle. Their goal is to foster growth and appreciation for the art form, rather than tear down students for not being perfect. The commitment to excellence is much more than just becoming a great dancer. It’s about learning how to conduct yourself with respect and sportsmanship, whether you’re competing or just attending a class. Julie’s Studio of Dance is dedicated to helping every family member have a positive experience, while also teaching important life skills. The studio goes beyond dance, encouraging students to strive for excellence in all aspects of their life. It’s about more than bringing home the biggest trophy (although that is enjoyable too). Julie’s Studio of Dance is committed to building confidence, character and respect in every student.

CLASSES FOR PRESCHOOLERS

Students will learn the beginning fundamentals of ballet and tap dancing all within a fun and exciting environment. Major emphasis on beginning ballet, tap rhythm and class participation

CLASSES FOR KIDS AND TEENS

This class is separated into three equal sections of ballet, tap and jazz. Students will learn introductory techniques and terms associated with formal ballet, tap and jazz training. Major emphasis on ballet technique and barre work, center tap work and flexibility.

COMPETITION TEAM

Joining a competition team provides a great opportunity for students to work together as a group toward a common goal, while providing more performance opportunities. Through local competitions, they will be introduced to dancers and choreographers from around the region, meet new friends who share their love and passion for dance, and be amazed by the commitment and quality of dance in the area. Judges’ feedback from the competitions offers students a constructive way to improve their dancing, while building their self esteem.
