These pint-sized explorers are as brave as they are curious, lacing up their hiking boots to discover the enchanted forests, shimmering lakes, and towering mountains that make up their magical playground. Massachusetts, with its four distinct seasons, offers an ever-changing backdrop for their adventures. During the autumn months, the trees explode into a riot of reds, oranges, and yellows, making the forests look like they've been kissed by a rainbow. In winter, the landscapes transform into a snowy wonderland, perfect for making snow angels or having epic snowball fights. Spring brings a carpet of wildflowers, and summer means it's time to dip toes into the cool lakes. Now, these Mighty Mass Hikers aren't like regular kids. No, sir! Founded in 1923 by Jewish union activists in New York City, Camp Kinderland has been a place for working-class families to escape the city for over three-quarters of a century. Through its program, Kinderland celebrates the labor movement and other progressive causes. Over the years, the camp has honored and celebrated the International Brigades in Spain, anti-fascist efforts in the World War II era, economic reform, and the civil rights and anti-war movements. Camp Kinderland is a living testament to the values of social justice and progressive secular Jewish roots.
