About Okinawan Karate Club Stoughton

At OKC, we understand that the martial arts can be a powerful tool to help children develop self-discipline, self-confidence, and respect. We strive to instill these values in all our students, regardless of age. Our instructors are committed to helping our students reach their full potential. We are proud of our history as a school dedicated to the martial arts and self-defense. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere of respect and discipline, while allowing our students to explore the ancient and honorable art of Uechi Ryu Karate. Our classes provide a unique opportunity to learn physical skills that can help children in all aspects of life.

Why Study Karate? "There is no first attack in Karate." This phrase embodies the essential spirit of Okinawan karate. Although karate is a martial art, it must be a defensive art from beginning to end. The focus of our program is not kicking and punching, as much as it is the development of a student's character.
