About Hamilton-Wenham School of Dance

The Hamilton Wenham School of Dance has been providing quality dance education and instruction to North Shore students since 1991. Our commitment to offering diverse and enriching classes has been unwavering, and we are continually updating our policies in response to the ever-changing COVID 19 landscape. At the Hamilton Wenham School of Dance, our philosophy is to focus on technique, artistry, and expression over competition. Our goal is to create an environment where students feel inclusive, creative, and challenged, regardless of their experience level or ambitions. We seek to nurture our students, and ensure that they are placed in the class level that is best suited to their individual development. When our students enter the Hamilton Wenham School of Dance, they come out with more than just technique. We strive to give our students insight into self-expression, and teach them how to bring choreography to life. We also hope to instill in them the values of fairness, respect, and friendship, and to ensure that they have fun with their peers in the process.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT/DANCE
This program combines Creative Dance, Ballet skills, Theater and Pantomime, Musicality, Gross and Fine Motor skills. It is full of Fun and Creativity.

BALLET/ JAZZ Combo Class
Kindergarten thru Grade 2/3: We believe Ballet is a great introduction to the foundation of dance. Students explore movement through the grace and technique of ballet to develop core, strength and focus in learning ballet skills, barre, center and across floor, terminology, core work and dance etiquette.

JAZZ CLASSES
In exploring Jazz throughout our dance season, our classes offer varied facets of jazz dance with elements of slower paced Contemporary & Lyrical movement: Hip Hop: Broadway/Musical Theater and Ailey influences.
