About Smith Mills Weekday Nursery

At Smith Mills Preschool & Kindergarten, we understand the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for our children. We take pride in providing our students with a caring and thoughtful education. Our teachers are certified and experienced, and our curriculum is aligned with the Dartmouth Public School system. We use the Handwriting without Tears Program, the Lucy Calkins Unit of Study for Literacy, Envision Math, and EEC Guidelines for Preschool & Kindergarten Learning Experiences to lay the foundation for our children's learning and development. Our school has been in operation for 60 years, and our mission has always been to provide children with the best possible learning experience. We are committed to ensuring our students have the best preschool and kindergarten experience possible. PRESCHOOL PROGRAM
Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday or 5 Day -Half Day Hours 8:30AM-12PM Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday or 5 Day option -Full Day Hours 8:30AM-2:30PM Children ages 2.9 years to 3.11 years. This program is limited to 16 children. This is ideal for the young child's first school experience. Flexible schedule options 2/3/5 days.

PREKINDERGARTEN PROGRAM
4 Day - Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday & 5 Day Half Day Hours 8:30AM-12:00PM Full Day Hours 8:30AM-2:30PM Children must be 4 as of September 1st. Academic program preparing children for the demands of Kindergarten. Pre-Reading, Math and Handwriting Curriculum

KINDERGARTEN
5 Day Full Day Option Only 8:30AM-2:30PM Children must be 5 as of September. We follow the Dartmouth School Curriculum and State Standards. Our Kindergarten has been in operation since 2004. Children are challenged in a small setting and teacher/child ratio.
