About Crab Apple White Water in Shelburne Falls, MA

Our founder, David Black, started the company in 1983 with a vision of providing quality outdoor adventure experiences for all ages. In 1989, he expanded operations to the Berkshires and opened the doors of Crab Apple Whitewater. Since then, we’ve become a family-run business, with David’s sons, Ken and Chris, joining the team. Our staff is comprised of experienced and passionate river guides, many of whom have been with us for years. Come meet our family and join us for an unforgettable whitewater experience!

ENGLAND WHITEWATER RAFTING

Our family has offered whitewater rafting adventures in Maine on the Kennebec and Dead Rivers since 1983. Our riverside location cannot be topped – our most popular Kennebec River trips float right to our base camp. We have riverside lodging, a comfortable pub & restaurant and outdoor pool.

Summer Camp Rafting

Our three generation family business has entertained Summer Camp Groups since 1983 in Maine and 1989 in Massachusetts. Dozens of Camps raft with us each summer for an exciting adventure away from Camp. We make it easy to book a reservation and plan your trip on one of our spectacular rivers with Mild or Wild whitewater.

Boy & Girl Scout Troops

Hundreds, probably thousands of Scout Troops have joined us since 1983. Scouts are always unique in their level of curiosity and anticipation before and during a rafting trip. We take Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venture Crews for fun-filled days on our rivers in Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont.
