About Highlander Farm in Sharon, MA

At Highlander Farm in East Falmouth, MA, families have access to healthy, sustainable produce. The farm follows a chemical-free approach, using sustainable agriculture to protect the environment and yield nutrient-dense food. Through a long-term lease with the Town of Silt, Highlander Farm is able to grow a variety of produce on 5 acres of land. In 2020, the farm produced 8,000 pounds of fresh produce on a half acre of land. This number increased to 30,000 pounds in 2021, with plans to cultivate 1.5 acres in 2022. Thanks to the dedicated staff at Highlander Farm, Garfield County families and those in the Roaring Fork and Colorado River Valleys have access to healthy, nutrient-dense produce. Highlander Farm is committed to creating a vibrant farm ecosystem and protecting the environment. By using sustainable agriculture, chemical-free fertilizers, and healthy soils, the farm works to ensure that families have access to fresh, nutritious produce. Thanks to the efforts of the dedicated staff, Garfield County residents are able to enjoy healthier meals and improved access to fresh produce.

SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM

Highwater Farm provides paid internships for young people interested in working on the farm in the summer. Youth Crew Workers hired to work in the youth farm program help grow and sell fresh local produce while learning valuable job, life and agricultural skills.
