About Shining Stars Learning Center

At Shining Stars we recognize that each child learns differently and has different strengths and weaknesses. To ensure that every child can learn and thrive, our curriculum is designed to touch on each of the intelligences, as outlined by Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. This means that our infant and toddler programs also include activities that will help each child understand and grow in their own unique way. We believe that this will allow children in our care to shine in their own special abilities.

The Preschool and Kindergarten curriculum is based on Dr. Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences. Dr. Gardner believes that each child has specific skills and talents - or intelligences - and that if we teach to these skills and talents, then students will have a better understanding of the material presented to them.
