About Christine Proia's Dance Academy

At the Dance Academy, we take great pride in the quality of services and instruction we provide. We strive to ensure that every one of our dancers has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Founded in 1995 by Christine, the Dance Academy is celebrating over 25 years of teaching the art of dance. Our goal is to give each and every student the opportunity for success. We understand that each dancer brings a unique set of skills and abilities to the studio, and we strive to create a positive and supportive environment to help them reach their goals. From developing technique to building confidence, the Dance Academy is here to help each and every one of our dancers reach their highest potential.

Preschool 1
Age 2.9-3.5 Years Old Class meets once per week for 30 minutes. Students are introduced to dance and creative movement with emphasis on balance and coordination. To further develop interest and skill, the use of musical games and songs will help them in preparation for further training. Children will perform in our year-end recital.

Preschool 2
Age 3.6-4.5 Years Old Class will meet once per week for 45 minutes. They will be introduced to tap using various types of music and will learn rhythms and sounds. Dancers will expand their knowledge of ballet, building a solid foundation of skills for years to come. Children will perform one routine in our year-end recital.

Intermediate Dancers, age 10 and up.
Classes are offered weekly for one hour each in the following genres: Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Acrobatics and more. These students will take their skills to a higher level, with technique being the main focus in fun, high energy classes!
