Nurtury has been an integral part of the early childhood education landscape for more than 140 years. As a pioneer in the field, the organization has been a leader in shaping public policy to raise the bar for educational standards nationwide and in New England. With a mission to support Greater Boston’s youngest children to reach their full potential, Nurtury’s goal is to invest in school readiness, promote healthy development, and strengthen families. Each year, the organization serves more than 1,000 children and families, providing the resources they need to build a strong foundation for their future.
Nurtury’s pre-school classrooms ensure that all children start school with the tools they need for Kindergarten success. We provide high quality early education to promote school readiness –addressing cognitive social-emotional, physical and nutritional needs, and family support.
We know that when you nurture a child, you nurture a community. We operate six early learning centers serving more than 400 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in forty classrooms. Among these classrooms are three Boston Public Schools – funded as part of the city’s Universal Pre-K Expansion Grant. Our partnership with BPS creates a seamless pathway for Nurtury children who intend to enroll at BPS for Kindergarten and beyond.
