    of Hingham." The Skating Club of Hingham was established in 1973 with the mission of providing figure skaters of all skill levels with the opportunity to learn and grow. As a recognized member of the United States Figure Skating Association and the New England InterClub Council, the club has been able to provide a platform for young skaters to reach their potential. In 2004, the Skating Club of Hingham was honored to receive the NEICC Freeskating Championship Trophy as recognition of their hard work and dedication. In addition to fostering a supportive and encouraging environment, the Skating Club of Hingham is committed to providing a unified experience for all of their skaters, no matter their chosen discipline. In 1992, the Board of Directors unanimously agreed to give equal recognition to members of the U.S. Figure Skating and International Skating Institute programs. This commitment to inclusivity is just one of the reasons why the Skating Club of Hingham has been such a successful and celebrated organization for the past 47 years.

    Programs at Skating Club of Hingham, Rockland, MA in Rockland, MA

    BeAKid
    BEGINNER PROGRAM

    For children ages 3, 4 & 5 yrs old. Program includes 25 minutes of basic instruction in a fun, smaller class environment. Once the 9:40 AM classes are full, additional classes at 10:15 AM will be added on a first-come, first-serve basis. Children are moved into the next program when they reach 6 yrs old AND can pass the minimum test level for the 40 min class program.

    LEARN TO SKATE

    This program includes a 40 minute lesson and a 20 minute practice session. Skaters are divided based on age and ability. First time skaters are welcome at any age! End of session testing included. All skaters are eligible to participate in special events, family skates, and the Annual Ice Show held in the Spring.

    HOCKEY SKILLS CLASS

    A specialized hockey skating skills/Learn to Skate class for those skaters wanting to join the Boston Jr Terriers Learn to Play hockey program (see below). Skaters must have passed out of our Beginner class to qualify. Hockey gear preferred, but not required.
