Our owner and operator, Dawn Cook, is an experienced equestrian and trainer who wants every rider to have the best experience possible. At Palmer River Equestrian Center, we offer a variety of services to meet the needs of every rider. Our full-service stable offers onsite schooling horse trials, schooling shows, clinics with top clinicians, full board, training, sales, and lessons with certified instructors. We welcome riders of all ages and abilities and strive to provide a positive, safe learning environment.

Horsemanship Programs
Our horsemanship programs are offered during school vacations and holidays and are open to boys and girls ages 7 to 16. Students do not need to have prior riding experience to participate. Activities will include grooming, tacking, riding, basic stable management, and most important safe horsemanship. Riders will build confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, and leadership skills that last a lifetime!

Our licensed staff has a lifetime of experience providing professional services for the beginner through the more advanced riders heading to the show ring.

Riding Experience and Introductory Lessons
Our riding experience is a one-of-a-kind experience that you don’t want to miss! Enjoy a serene and engaging 2-hour experience learning how to groom, tack, and ride followed by an outdoor riding experience on our 28-acre property (weather permitting). No prior knowledge is necessary! Introductory lessons are 1-hour blocks that offer the rider and instructor an opportunity to review the rider’s experience and allow the rider to evaluate the instructor. Both are open to adults and children 7+.
