About 5 Senses School in Reading, MA
At the 5 Senses School, we are proud to offer a unique educational experience for toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-K students. Our ranch-style school is nestled in a residential area in a tranquil environment. Our flexible drop-in schedule ensures that families can find the perfect schedule for their needs. We strive to provide a nurturing, family-oriented setting with a ratio of 6 teachers for every 30 children. Our commitment to the environment is a key part of our educational philosophy. We promote reducing, reusing, and recycling materials and strive to be a green school. Our classrooms are equipped with individual cloth towels, spill towels, compost, and paper and other recycling containers. We are proud of our efforts to fill recycling bins instead of trash barrels.

Toddlers Program
As we value independence, our toddlers work on self-help skills under the guidance of our nurturing teachers. By assisting them in every day simple activities, we encourage the children to put on their own coats and shoes, feed themselves, pour from child sized pitchers, clean up after themselves, and when the child’s ready, potty training.

Preschool Program
We offer 2 classrooms through the ages of 2.9-4 years of age, we continue to further nurture social and language skills, increase attention span, and invite children to explore simple math and science while aiding in the development of their total being. We invite children to interact and learn about their community through the role-playing of various professions. Our first classroom has children ranging in age from 2.9 to 3 years of age, while our second classroom is set up for 3 to 4 years of age.

Pre-K Program
Our teachers provide materials and opportunities that allow children to experience the different academics that they will encounter in the public schools. With the aid of an alphabet box and estimation jar, the children learn various language and math skills that will help them now and later.

Summer Programs
This coming summer, let your child continue learning even when school is out. At 5 Senses School, we facilitate a fun line-up of activities for your child to take part of. Because of the sunny weather, it’s such a great opportunity to have fun outside of school.
