Parents, early intervention can provide crucial support for your child’s development. Step One Early Intervention offers services in your home, our learning center, and in community settings, such as child care centers. At our learning center, you’ll find a range of group services, including parent-baby and parent-toddler groups, infant massage, and sensory motor and social-communication groups.
Our experienced Step One team is here to help you. Our team includes developmental educators, speech pathologists, social workers, licensed mental health counselors, teaching assistants, nurses, and physical, occupational, and music therapists. We will work with you collaboratively to conduct developmental assessments, create individual family service plans, and offer developmental and therapeutic intervention and ongoing education and support.

Step One Regional Consultation Program
The Step One Regional Consultation Program serves children from birth through three years of age with significant medical and developmental needs. By providing of training, consultation, and resource and referral services- the Step One Program assists families, early intervention programs, and community- based programs for young children in an effort to their needs of within their communities’. The staff includes a special educator as well as consultants in the fields of nursing, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy and social work.

Step One Integrated Toddler Enrichment Program
Led by a child development specialist, the Step One Toddler Enrichment Program is a developmental playgroup for children between the ages of 18 through 36 months. It is open to children enrolled in the Step One Early Intervention Program as well as other children in the community. Each child receives a screening prior to enrollment. The program offers a structured learning environment with many opportunities for children to choose activities, play, and interact with peers.
Every family looks forward to seeing a child’s first smile, first step, and first words. Regular screenings help raise awareness of a child’s development, making it easier to celebrate milestones and identify possible development concerns as early as possible.
