Youth Swimming Lessons
The Y provides children across the U.S. with access to swim lessons and water safety education. The Y introduced the country to group swim lessons over 110 years ago in 1909. Now, as one of the largest community-based organizations in the country, we teach more than a million children, especially those most at-risk of drowning, invaluable water safety and swimming skills each year.

Child Care & Camps
We offer programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. It’s a given that our programs are affordable, convenient, safe and fun but we want you to know that we strive to be much more than what you expect from a childcare provider. Old Colony YMCA is dedicated to the belief that supporting positive youth development and strengthening families will in turn strengthen our community. We strive to create environments where young people can learn and grow, and in actuality enhance the learning day through positive relationships with Y staff and structured enriching curriculum that supports social and emotional development. We want youth to thrive - to be innovative, creative, to try new things, to laugh, play and make new friends, and to build lasting relationships with caring adult role models at the Y. At the Old Colony Y, we do not simply deliver services. We work alongside children, families, and communities to fuse key elements of youth development with fun, engaging, educational programs.

Preschool Gymnastics
The Y preschool gymnastics program allows boys and girls ages 1-6 years to experience the world of gymnastics. This progressive program will allow children to begin gymnastics classes with a parent in our Me and My Tumbler class (ages 1-3). Help children learn the basics of gymnastics independently in our Tumble Weeds class (ages 3-4). Develop skills and confidence in our Tiny Tumbler program (ages 4-5). Excel in our more advanced classes in the Rising Stars (ages 5-6). Our goal is that children and their parents have a fun, positive, and exciting experience in our preschool gymnastics programs at the Middleboro YMCA.
