About Camp Atwater

For nearly a century, Camp Atwater has been providing an opportunity for children ages 8–15 to explore the great outdoors and learn the importance of teamwork, respect, and responsibility. Located in the picturesque North Brookfield, Massachusetts, our camp is proud to be the oldest African American-owned and operated residential summer camp in the country. At Camp Atwater, we have a strong commitment to helping children thrive. Our progressive curriculum focuses on the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth of each camper. We are proud to have earned accreditation from the American Camping Association and to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We invite you to join us and experience Camp Atwater for yourself!
