The Discover-It Experience

For ages 2-3, 3-4, and 4-5 Years Each Discover-It Experience Class is a wonderful introduction to the structure of a classroom setting while allowing children the freedom to explore their own natural movement. Dancers will learn to march, gallop, jump, twirl, wiggle, and giggle. The Curriculum provides excellent exercises for little ones. It teaches a plethora of control and precision skills. Working on brain power, muscle control, and enhancing gross motor skills. Each class will help to develop memory skills and classroom readiness and include a foundation in classical dance education. You can also choose to add an additional class element in Tap/Jazz, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, or Hip Hop.

Ballet

For Ages 5 to 9 Ballet is the foundation from which all forms of dance originate. Each Imagine-It ballet class consists entirely of technique and is partitioned into barre work, port de bras, center barre, adagio, and allegro. Children spend a portion of each class at the barre in order to acquire the strength, balance, and placement necessary to execute center work correctly.

Musical Theater

For Ages 9 to 12 Musical Theatre will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions.

Acrobatics

For Ages 13+ Acro Dance is a style of dance that combines dance technique with precise acrobatic elements. Properly achieved acrobatic skills can be added to a multitude of dance genres. Acro dance is meant to be softer than gymnastics with the emphasis on lengthening, control and balance. New England Dance Academy is a Country leader in acrobatics! We have students who have gone on to professional acrobatic careers and Division 1 college scholarships.
