About Center for the Performing Arts in North Andover, MA
The Center for the Performing Arts is the perfect place for kids to learn how to dance. Our qualified, experienced instructors provide the best dance instruction in a relaxed, non-competitive environment. Our four classrooms are equipped with professional sprung dance floors and viewing windows for parents to observe their child’s progress. At the Center, we understand that children want to learn to dance with their friends. That’s why we place students in classes with others their same age and school grade. Parents have the flexibility to decide which classes and how many days a week their child should attend.

BeAKid
Me and My Dancer
This class is designed for our youngest students. We focus on gross motor skills, basic dance moves and learning to participate in a classroom environment. We teach these little ones how to take direction from a teacher, and also how to take turns with their fellow students. Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Nanny, etc, is invited in the classroom to participate as much as they desire! This is a low-key introduction to our studio to see if dance is in your little one's future! Classes go month-to-month with no contract or long term commitment.

Shining Stars Program
Our Shining Stars program is a collaboration and extension of our wonderful Performance Team. It is designed for students age 9-18 who would benefit from having a mentor in the class to follow all year long. A Performance Team member will be partnered with every Shining Star student and will be their mentor each week in class. They will assist with everything from stretching, to going across the floor, to combinations. Shining Stars will also have the opportunity to dance with the Performance Team in the year-end performance (optional).

Summer Stars
Center for the Performing Art's amazing Summer Program offers dance, arts & crafts, STEM activities, creative and independent learning, and so much more! Designed by certified teachers, these programs will keep your kids entertained, happy and active all summer long. Each week features a special theme to make the days fun and exciting for everyone. We also feature special visitors such as a petting zoo, magician, slush truck and more. Morning, afternoons and full-day options are available. Our all-inclusive program includes a catered lunch and allows busy parents to drop off and go. Follow us on social media now to be the first to know when the programs have been announced.
