At The Dance Place, we believe that dance is for everyone! Our classes are non-competitive, nurturing environments where students of all ages and skill levels can freely express themselves. Our school year classes and intensive summer workshops provide a place for children to explore different forms of dance, express themselves and learn the fundamentals. Our Joppa Dance youth companies provide the opportunity for more experienced dancers to perform, take master classes, create their own performances and even travel. Auditions for Joppa take place every June. The Dance Place in Newburyport, MA is the perfect place for children and adults to share their love for dance. We provide a non-competitive atmosphere to ensure that dancers of any age and skill level can express themselves in a comfortable setting. Our classes cover a variety of dance forms, such as contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop, while our Joppa Dance youth companies offer more experienced dancers the chance to perform, attend master classes, choreograph their own pieces and even tour the world. We believe that anyone has the chance to experience the joy of dance, so we hold Joppa auditions every June.
