Elnora M. Williams established the West End Day Nursery of New Bedford, Inc. in 1941, and it was incorporated three years later in 1944. This organization is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, with a range of programs including family services, child development, education, health, recreation, and nutrition. All of these activities are designed to give children the best start in life.

EDUCATION PROGRAM
The program's activities are all appropriate to the ages and development of the children served. The activities are planned around the interests and individual needs of each child. The content of the curriculum will include social/emotional, cognitive, language, and motor skills. There will be a scheduled routine with sufficient flexibility and time for unscheduled learning opportunities.

Nutrition Program
The program serves meals and snacks that meet U.S.D.A. requirements for the nutritional and dietary needs and feeding requirements for each child including those with disabilities. The parents/guardians will receive a copy of our menus in the monthly newsletter. This menu includes breakfasts, lunches and snacks.
