    Introducing Camp Frederick Douglass, an exciting new camp at the New Bedford YMCA, honoring the legacy of influential African-American social reformer, abolitionist, orator, writer, and statesman, Frederick Douglass. In addition to traditional camp games and activities, campers will learn about Douglass and the history of his time in the city of New Bedford through fun projects, field trips, and hands-on activities. YMCAs believe in the potential of every child. That’s why we offer YCares Financial Assistance for families who need it most, to ensure that every child can experience the joys of camp.
