At Millis Dance Theatre, we are proud to provide the highest quality dance education to the children of Millis and the surrounding area. Our experienced and creative teaching staff are dedicated to instilling proper technique while advocating a love of dance in each of our students. We strive to create a warm, noncompetitive environment where students can learn and grow. Our mission is to help children discover the unique joy of dance and to foster a positive self-image. We understand the importance of a supportive learning environment and are always available to answer any questions or concerns that parents may have. We are also delighted to put you in touch with families that are attending our school. At Millis Dance Theatre, we are committed to providing a joyful learning experience for each and every student. Our teachers are dedicated to helping our students develop their skills and express themselves through the art of dance. BALLET / TUMBLE

This fun class will include the very basics ballet steps including graceful movements and fun jumps and turns. Portions of the class will consist of creative and imaginative activities such as dancing with ribbons, scarves, magic wands, hula-hoops, etc. Then on to tumbling fundamentals. Students will learn forward and backward rolls, beginning cartwheels and bridges. This varied and enjoyable class is taught in a positive, age-appropriate environment. (Attire: Black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers)

BALLET / TAP

This fun combo class includes ballet steps, turns and leaps then a change of pace—lively beginner tap rhythms. Let’s learns a tap dance and learn shuffles, ball change, cramp roll and sugar walks. Part of the class will be open ended encouraging creativity using ribbons, scarves, hula hoops, magic wands and fun props. (Attire: Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers and black tap shoes)

HIP HOP

HIP HOP is a popular urban-influenced dance style which encourages freedom of movement and individual expression. Students learn fun, creative choreography that builds week to week. Set to today’s popular music (G-rated), this class will get kids jumping, moving and feeling funky and fierce. Give it a try - it’s fun! (Attire: Comfortable dance clothes, black converse sneakers)
