About Dance Images Dance & Music Center in Methuen, MA
At Dance Images Dance & Music Center, we believe that a lifelong love of music and dance starts early. That’s why we offer classes for students of all ages and abilities, as well as a special Rhythm Works Dance Program for children with learning differences. With classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Pointe, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Preschool, and Wiggles & Giggles, as well as private instrument and voice/singing lessons, we provide our students with the skills they need to enjoy music and dance for a lifetime. In addition to providing dance and music instruction to the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts, we also offer performance groups to entertain at events in the community and provide our students with additional performance opportunities. Our mission is to raise kind and compassionate kids, and we hope to help our students create unforgettable memories through our classes and performances.

Programs at Dance Images Dance & Music Center in Methuen, MA
BeAKid
Preschool Classes (Ages 3 - 5)
Preschool classes are available for little dancers. This class is divided into Pre- Ballet/Creative Movement & Tap segments. At this level, we explore creative movement & introduce dancing in a structured environment while teaching the very basics of dance movement & language. (45 minutes)
BeAKid
Primary Ballet & Tap Combo Classes (Ages 5-7)
This is the level where we begin to introduce proper ballet and tap technique along with specific terminology. Ballet & tap classes include barre, across-the-floor repetition, and center combinations. We start young dancers with this combination because ballet teaches discipline and technique and tap teaches rhythm. As the level gets more advanced, class duration increases. (1 hour)

Mini Musical Theatre (Ages 5-7)
Musical Theatre dance combines songs, dialogue, acting, and dancing. We interpret the song through our ability and add all of these forms of expression into one dance. (45 minutes)

Ballet (8-12)
Ballet is fun no matter how old you are or what goals you wish to accomplish through ballet. Becoming a ballet dancer can be as simple as practicing moves in your bedroom, or as complex as becoming a major dancer in a ballet company. All ballet dancers have one thing in common: a love of the grace, beauty and discipline of ballet. (1 Hour)

Tap (8-12)
Tap dancing is an exciting form of dance in which dancers wear special shoes equipped with metal taps. Tap dancers use their feet like drums to create rhythmic patterns and timely beats. The term "tap dancing" is derived from the tapping sound produced when the small metal plates on the dancer's shoes touch a hard floor or surface. (45 minutes)
