MBTA Youth Pass Program

The Youth Pass is a card that can be used by eligible young adults with low incomes to purchase roughly 50% reduced one-way fares or $30 monthly LinkPasses for the bus, subway, and Fairmount Line Zone 1A stations at MBTA Fare Vending Machines, the CharlieCard Store, fare boxes on buses and trolleys at street-level stops, or at retail sales locations. Youth Pass cards can also be used to purchase half-price one-way fares for Commuter Rail, Express Bus, and ferry.

Parks & Recreation

Just north of the downtown area lies scenic Ell Pond, which holds an annual festival. Throughout the city, there are activities for all ages. A variety of sports programs fill our state-of-the-art parks and fields, including Melrose Youth Soccer; Melrose Little League, Incarnation Little League; Softball; Basketball; Hockey; Lacrosse; and Pop Warner Football and Cheerleading. Some favorite community spots for picnics, playgrounds, and games include Melrose Common, Pine Banks Park, and Mount Hood Memorial Park, which also offers a year-round recreational facility. Melrose offers superb golfing facilities at Mount Hood and Bellevue.
